About Us

Dear Parents and Visitors,
Saint Benedict Catholic School is answering the call of our late Pope John Paul II for a "new springtime" in the Church. With a spirit of joy and welcoming, the school community strives to better the whole human person spiritually, intellectually, physically, and morally. We seek to assist parents, the primary educators, in the duty of raising their children in habits of virtue. The threefold mission of Saint Benedict Catholic School is fidelity, virtue, and excellence.
Located in the historic Museum District of Richmond, Saint Benedict is perfectly situated to provide students with a unique exposure to Richmond's finest museums and historical organizations. Richmond's Catholic high schools, Benedictine and Saint Gertrude, are also within easy walking distance. The school has a distinguished history with deep roots in the Benedictine Order, and many families in the school have attended for generations. Graduates tell us how proud they are of their education at Saint Benedict, and new families are warmly welcomed into our school family.
Thank you for your interest in Saint Benedict Catholic School. Please contact us for a tour or with any questions you may have. It would be our pleasure to meet with you!
In Christ,
Sean M. Cruess
