4th Grade Curriculum
4th grade is the beginning of the bridge between the lower grades and middle school. Organizational and note‐taking skills are emphasized. The focus is on developing good classroom and study habits. As part of our classical curriculum, emphasis is placed on building a foundation of knowledge through reading, writing, and memory work across all subject areas. This base is built upon in middle school as our students move into more abstract and logical thinking. This is all done with Christ at the center of all we do.
One highlight of 4th grade is the participation in the Richmond Ballet’s Minds in Motion program. Every year our students participate in this city-wide program which culminates in a performance in the spring.
