We are excited to have our Junior Kindergarten program moving into its second year. Since it is part of our school, the program is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and School as well as the Virginia Council for Private Education. We are exempt from pre-school licensure through the Virginia Department of Social Services. The program is Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-noon. We also offer an extended day option from Noon-3:00 p.m. There will be a maximum of 20 students. In order to be eligible, students must turn 4 years old by September 30, 2012. Students in the Junior Kindergarten will not wear the school uniform. Families who are interested in the program should submit an application, copy of the child’s birth certificate, and a pre-school evaluation if the child is currently enrolled in a pre-school.
This year, we are also adding a NEW Friday program for pre-school students. The program is a Montessori-style religious education program called Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. The Friday program may be taken on its own or combined with the regular Junior Kindergarten.
