Music

Band

The St. Cecilia Band Program is a shared music program between St. Benedict, St. Mary's, Our Lady of Lourdes, and Blessed Sacrament Huguenot.  At St. Benedict, group lessons are held during school hours on Thursday according to instrument and ability level.  Practices for the full band are held after school.  There will be a winter and spring concert to show what students have learned.

Choir

The Children's Choir practices on Tuesday from 3:00-3:45pm in the school library.  It is directed by the parish choirmaster/organist, Jim Dorn, who also teaches music in the school.  The fall choir practices begin in September.  The choir sings at selected parish Masses, usually on Saturday evenings.

Piano Lessons

Piano lessons are available at various times before and after school.  They are taught by instructors from the Greater Richmond School of Music.
