Band
The Saint Benedict School Band, under the direction of Mr. Don Crafton, meets weekly at Saint Benedict School. Small group lessons, separated by instrument and ability, are held during school hours. The full, advanced band rehearsal is after school. Students participate in winter and spring concerts, including joint concerts with other Richmond Diocese Catholic Schools.

Children’s Choir
The Children’s Choir meets weekly afterschool. It is directed by the parish choirmaster/organist, Mr. Jim Dorn, and Mrs. Colleen Crafton, our vocal music instructor. The choir sings monthly at selected Saint Benedict Parish Masses, and on special events by request.

Private Music Lessons
In partnership with the Greater Richmond School of Music, private music lessons are offered after-school at Saint Benedict School. The faculty from GRSM has degrees from some of the finest musical institutions in the world and many have performed with major orchestras, jazz ensembles, choral groups, and chamber ensembles around the country and abroad.
