Kindergarten Applicants

Introduction 

Please get application material turned in as soon as possible.  That includes an application (with $50 application fee), a copy of your child's birth certificate, and a preschool evaluation.    

Kindergarten Screening

Our kindergarten screening is usually done in groups of 5-10 to make the children feel more comfortable.  Parents have the opportunity to meet with the principal during the screening and meet some of the other future kindergarten parents.  Children are directed by our kindergarten teacher through a series of activities that test their ability to follow directions, motor skills, and academic abilities in a relaxed setting.  It is not a "pass or fail" test, and the results are usually very helpful for parents and the school.  The screening is only done once, unless the school or parent requests a second screening. 

Important Dates

November 3 - Open House from 6:45-8:00pm

January 21 - Screening for parish children and school siblings 

January 29 - Open House from 1:00-2:00pm

January - Acceptance Letters mailed for January screening

February 11 - Screening for all children

February/March - Acceptance Letters mailed for February screening

March 1 - Financial Aid applications due

April - Financial Aid Award Letters mailed from Diocese

May - Financial Aid Award Letter mailed from St. Benedict

March thru August - Screening by appointment

October thru June - Submit applications for fall 2011
