Dini Howell - Grade 3

Parents & Students,  Welcome to 4th Grade!  Here are some notes about Book Day that should help the morning go more smoothly for you.

1.  Please make sure the school roadmap is completed before coming to the 4th grade for textbooks.  I am not suppose to distribute textbooks until all boxes on the roadmap have been initialed.

2.  There will be directions on the 4th grade board instructing what to do.

3.  Each child's desk is labeled with their name & a #.  The desks are in alphabetical order for the first week(s) only.

4.  Go to your child's desk and complete the textbook contract & personal information forms.  These should be completed & left on your child's desk on Book Day.

4.  All textbooks (hard covers) must be covered by Thursday, Sept. 3.  You may cover the books on Book Day or take the books home to cover.

5.  Soft cover books can be put in the child's desk.

6.  All supplies should be purchased by Tuesday, Sept 1 (the first day of school).  If you have supplies on Book Day, they may be left in the child's desk.  We will label & organize all supplies on the first day of school.

7.  Tissue boxes & antibacterial soap can be left on the cubby table.

Well, that's the LUCKY 7 I suppose :)  I hope these help in making Book Day a little easier for you & your child.  If anything additional comes to mind, I will send another note along.

(P.S. - This school year's blogs begin with the Summer Reading post sent in mid-July)

Thank You & See You on BOOK DAY!

 Ms. Howell
