YOu may do the www.internet4classrooms.com activities on numeration and measurement and number patterns. Using www.eduplace.com we are moving into Chapter 12 on number patterns, continuing with measurement in Chapter 17 and finishing up Chapter 16 on subtraction facts through 12. Next week, we hope to begin practicing addition and subtraction facts to sums of 13 and 14, reviewing doubles and related subtraction facts and beginning our unit on money. We will be reading our last story in Theme 5 and a story in Theme 6 this week. We are reviewing famous African Americans and cardinal map skills.

 

Monday

1. Copy your spelling words two times in your green notebook. Highlight the letter that makes the long i sound. Practice making your spelling words with magnetic letters at home if you have some.

2. Fill in the blank with the correct vocabulary word from above.

3. Send in the 50 pennies if you have not already.

 

Tuesday

1. Read a long i comprehension or phonics practice story. Circle all the long i words with these patterns: CVCe as in time, CVV as in pie, CVVC as in tied and CVY as in cry.

2. Do the Harriet Tubman counting by twos page.

 

Wednesday

1. Chapter 12 math sheet on number patterns

2. Practice the Theme 6 words or w and t words for 15 minutes and sign the form.

 

Thursday

1. Do the assignment on measurement.

2. Study for your spelling test.
