Continue reading the Theme 6 words and w and t page. This week we will read Theme 6 stories. Next week I will send home the Theme 7 and 8 words for the remainder of March and April. Thank you children for practicing your words.
Please send in a bag with 10nickels, 5 dimes, and 4 quarters. Include the 50 pennies if you have not sent them in yet. We will be beginning our unit on money later this week. You can review Chapter 12 Number Patterns under the numeration section at www.eduplace.com and the measurement activities as well. In your spare time continue to practice the math flash cards through sums of 13 and 14.
The Saint reports were great! Everyone participated. I will send home a list of all the information by next Monday. The students will practice the information throughtout the next two weeks. We will plan to play Saint Jeopardy the week we return from our Easter break. We will also plan to visit a pet store after the break and our annual 7-11 trip will occur in April as well.
Monday
1. Read your Reading Counts book and complete the sequence paper. Return your paper with your book to be ready to take the quiz tomorrow.
Tuesday
1. Number patterns sheets
2. Hippo and map questions sheet
3. Return any overdue library books.
Wednesday
1. Ordinal and number word page. Practice reading the words and sign the form.
2. Measurement activity
Thursday
1. Study for your spelling test.
2. Do the math facts activity of sums through 13 and 14 and sign the form. Practice these number names for 13: 0+13 1+12,2+11,3+10,4+9,5+8,6+7 equal 13 and 0+14,1+13,2+12,3+11,4+10,5+9,6+8,7+7 equal 14. We will be resuming daily drills next week.
Next week we wiil be continuing with money and beginning time and continuing with measurement and addition and subtraction facts.
In language arts, we continue to review punctuation, contractions, blends, ch,sh,th,wh, and the long vowel patterns for a,e,i,o, and o. Please continue to read nightly. THanks for all you do.
