Parents & Students,  Welcome to 4th Grade!  Here are some notes about Book Day that should help the morning go more smoothly for you.

1.  Please make sure the school roadmap is completed before coming to the 4th grade for textbooks.  I am not suppose to distribute textbooks until all boxes on the roadmap have been initialed.

2.  There will be directions on the 4th grade board instructing what to do.

3.  Each child's desk is labeled with their name & a #.  The desks are in alphabetical order for the first week(s) only.

Little Sisters Canned Good Collection

All classes will be collecting canned goods for the Little Sisters of the Poor until Friday, Jan. 23.  There is a competition among the grades for the class that can bring the most cans per student.  For example,  we have 11 students and if we were to collect 22 cans, we will have collected 2 per student.  I explained this to the students so they would understand that they are not at a disadvantage being a smaller class.  It also gave us a great opportunity to do a little math with several different student #s & canned good #s :)
