Battle of the Books is a program designed to promote reading, teamwork, self-confidence, and fun! Groups of 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students work as teams with faculty coaches to collectively read books over the course of five months. The books range in reading level and genre. There are fantasies, mysteries, historical fiction, adventures, and more! The object of Battle of the Books is to introduce students to good books and to new friends while they enjoy the thrill of academic competition.
