2. practice your Theme 5 words and sign the form.

3. Wear red tomorrow.

1. read your reading Counts book and complete the book report form. Return the book and your report tomorrow.

1. Read your Reading Counts book aloud to your parents. Discuss and do the book report. Retrun the book and the report tomorrow. Hopefully, the children will be able to take online quizzes soon.

 

Wednesday

Homework for January 4-6

Welcome back! I'm sure everyone had a wonderful Christmas and vacation. Thank you again for all my gifts! I was speechless! I truly feel blesses to work here and serve all of you devoted families. Happy New Year!  

 

We will have a spelling test this week, so we won't get behind. We will be studying the s blends this week and next.

Announcements for December 19-21

There will not be any homework this week, due to the joyous season! Here are a few reminders.

Tuesday is a free tag day for all those who brought cans. if you didn't bring cans, you can bring in $3.00 and participate in Tag Day.

 

Our party is Tuesday afternoon at 1:00. We need 4 or 5 volunteers to help the children with the gingerbread houses. All are welcome.

 

Lessons and Carols is Wednesday from 11:30 to 12:30.  It is an early dismissal day. Please do not bring backpacks on Wednesday.

 

Homework for December 12-16

Spelling Words: black, block, clock, Fluff, glad,plan, and sled

The stockings were picked up by the Salvation Army and taken to a big warehouse in the East End where families shopped there on December 7. Thanks for all your support! 

Monday

1. Bring in a sock to be a stocking if you have not sent one in.

2. Bring in four cans and you will receive a free tag day on Tuesday, December 20.

3. Practice words for Lessons and Carols songs.

4. Write your spelling words two times in your homework notebook.

Homework Sheet for December 5-9

There will not be a spelling test this week. Thanks for bringing in items for the Salvation Army stockings. The children will stuff the stockings on Tuesday.

 

Since we have Mass on Thursday this week, we may miss our library time, so next week the children will definitely check out a book from the Reading Counts list. I'll send home more information about it. Hopefully, they will be able to take tests on the books read soon.

Thank you for all you do each day to make our First Grade year so special. I pray each of you has a very special Thanksgiving holiday with you r family and friends.
