Week of June 1-4

Announcements for the remainer of the year.

1. Our plays will be performed this Wednesday at 8:45 to approximately 10:00. We will have refreshments afterwards.

 

2. On Thursday, we travel to the Lewis Botanical Gardens. The bus will pick us up at 8:30. Please be sure you are here before 8:30 if you plan to go. We will eat a snack there, but we should be back in time for lunch at 12:10. If you can come as a chaperone, that would be great. They would prefer we have an adult for every 5 children. The first 5 adults are free.

Week of May 24-28

Spelling Words: more, newer, dark, warmest, morning,highest,yard,corn,faster, smaller, and kindest

This will be our last spelling test!

 

We will be taking a trip to the Lewis Botanical Gardens on Thursday, June 3. The plays will be given on Wednesday, June 2 at 8:45. They will last about an hour and 15 minutes. Our End of the year party will be on Monday, June 14. I think we will have it in the morning. More details will come next week.

 

Monday

This will be our last spelling test!

Monday

Week of May 17-21

I apologize for the wrong dates I put on the Endangered Animal Project. I will send home the report paper this Tuesday, May 18. The project is due on Tuesday, May 25. You may complete the report and your habitat box sooner if you'd like.

 

Week of May 1014

Thanks to all volunteers who drove and played with us at the Children's Museum. We had fun!

Continue using the www.eduplace.com website. We are working in Chapter 8, finishing up Chapter 16, Chapter 17 and working some in Chapter 19. Next Week, we hope to start Chapter 9 on Fractions, keep working in Chapter 19, and begin Chapter 18 on capacity and temperature. 

Week of May 3 through 7

 

There will not be a spelling test this week.

 We will be continuing to practice telling time and counting money throughout the remainder of the school year. Please reinforce these skil at home, because these skills need regular practice. Thanks.

Sorry, I did not send home the Oreo sign up sheet. It will come home this week.

Thursday is a half -day.

Thank you parents that volunteered with Feeding the Homeless. Each child prepared four lunches. The parents prepared the remainder. It is gratifying to help others.

Thank you to the parents that have signed up to drive for our trip to the Children's Musem. If you can drive, please send in a note. You need to be Virtus-trained.

Week of April 19-23

 

Thank you Mrs. Williamson for organizing the playgroup time at Humphrey Caudler playground. The children had a blast!

Spelling Words: boys, toys, beaches, boxes, dishes, dresses, kisses,wishes,babies, and puppies

Continue to practice reading the Theme 7 words. The children know the Theme 6 words well. I'll be sending home Theme 8 and new sight words on Thursday.

Week of April 12-16

A. Our Saint Jeopardy show will be held next Wednesday, April 21 from 1:00-2:00.
