You selected a biography on a famous person you would like to learn more about. A biography is a true story about a person’s life. You should start reading the book at home immediately. Remember to keep notes on a note card or scrap paper and tuck it inside your book to help you remember important information.

**Directions:**

* Front of the Box*: Use a piece of white or light colored paper to cover the front of your cereal box. Include the name of the person and a picture.

* Right Side of Box*: List 5 interesting facts about the person.

* Left Side of Box*: Create a time-line containing at least 6 important events in the person’s life.

* Back of Box*: Write a summary of your person and what you have learned about them.

* Top of Box*: Include the title, author, number of pages, and number of stars you would give this book if you were a book critic.

]]>Students celebrated Dr. Seussâ€™ birthday and Read Across America by reading lots of books written by Dr. Seuss and Theo LeSieg.

The class enjoyed learning about the different saints presented by their classmates.

Language Arts

Students distinguished between the sounds of d and z. The class reviewed rhyming words. Student came up with and wrote rhyming words.

Math

The class continues to work on time. Students are also working on number sense (100 charts) and addition.

Religion

The kindergarten continues to learn about Lent.

Students participated in Ash Wednesday Mass with their 8th grade prayer partners.

The Talent Show scheduled for Friday, March 10 has been postponed.
