Parish School Providing Nursery at Mass
Our parish school provides Sunday morning child care for the 8:30 and 11 a.m. Masses. This care under the supervision of Peggy Seaton, R.N. Saint Benedict Parish believes this is a wonderful way for us to affirm the beauty of human life. Children are not an intrusion but rather are a gift to be treasuerd by the whole church. And parents are to be commended for being open to life and bringing children into the world, and so all of us, teenagers, young adults, and parents and grandparents and everyone in the church are all invited to share this vital ministry through volunteering to assist Peggy.
The Sunday morning childcare reflects the love that a child receives in our parish school. Everyone in the parish financially sacrifices in order to raise up the next generation of commmitteed Catholic leadership: therefore Sunday morning care is an extension of the ministry of our parish school. This new initiative of our school affirms the value of human life and nurtures that life as the gift that it is: a gift from the Lord of life.
