Our staff is comprised of Saint Benedict School teachers with15 years experience with After School Programs and over 40 years teaching.
What we do:
Our philosophy is grounded in a holistic approach towards education that aims at providing a fun and enriching experience for your child(ren). Our curriculum is based on four pillars:
• Adventure
• Athletics
• Arts
• Academics
These principles aim at continuing in the development of your child’s critical thinking, reading comprehension, writing skills, motor skills, team building skills, verbal skills, confidence, keyboarding, drawing, acting, singing, and dancing. The program includes field trips, mini-trips, swimming; rock climbing, outside presenters that serve to enhance programming relative to the weekly theme and/or surrounding community; and events that invite parents and community to spend quality time with each other and witness the many talents of the children we serve.
When is the Summer Guild:
The Summer Guild runs Mondays-Fridays, from June 17th to August 2nd. Each day is broken up into a morning (9-11:30am) and afternoon session (12:30- 3pm) and includes morning (7:30-9am) and after school care (3-6pm) for working parents.
Where are we located:
The Summer Guild is located at Saint Benedict School which is located in the heart of the Museum District, is an ideally placed near the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Historical Society, VCU and the Downtown destinations.
