FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
When is registration to the Summer Academy due?
We encourage families to register as early as possible. Admission is on a first-come first-served basis, and course sizes are limited. The deadline for registration is June 12, 2009.
When is final payment due?
Final payment should be made in full by June 12, 2009. Students will not be allowed to attend the academy if there is payment owed.
Can I receive a refund if my child is unable to attend the academy?
Refunds can be given until June 12, 2009, minus $50. We cannot accept refund requests after June 12, 2009. Any refund request must be made in writing to Sean Cruess, Principal, and be postmarked by June 12, 2009.
Is it possible that a class may be cancelled?
If the minimum enrollment is not achieved for each individual class, the class may be cancelled. You will be notified of any cancellation no later than June 19, 2009, and a full refund will be made.
When do students have time to eat lunch?
There is a supervised lunch time built into the academy from Noon-12:30 each day. Students who are enrolled in both morning and afternoon sessions must bring their own lunch to eat at that time.
What are the drop-off and pick-up procedures?
Students for the morning session may be dropped off between 8:45 and 9:00am. Grades 4-8 should enter through the front doors on Grove Avenue. Grades 1-3 should enter through the doorway with a ramp on Belmont. Students being dropped off for the afternoon session should use the playground gate in St. Benedict Alley and be dropped off between 12:15-12:30pm. All parents should pick students up at the time the class is scheduled. Morning session dismissal will be through the front and ramp entrance. Afternoon dismissal will be through the playground entrance.
What is appropriate clothing?
Students should wear casual summer clothing. Participants in the basketball camp are required to wear tennis shoes. We uphold the virtue of modesty, and students who are not modestly dressed will not be allowed. If you have specific questions, please contact Mr. Cruess, school principal.
