Reader's Theater

Students will develop reading and writing skills by oral reading of a variety of short plays and writing their own short story.

 

Introduction to Philosophy

The aim of the class is to sharpen critical thinking skills, inspire children to wonder, and encourage a basic understanding of philosophical thought throughout the ages.

 

Greek Culture & Theatre

July 6-17                   $175

12:30-3:30                 Grades 1-8

Students will be introduced to the customs, food, and daily life of ancient Greece.  A special emphasis will be placed on Greek theatre and performance.

 

Wonders of Water

July 20-31                 $175

9:00-Noon                 Grades 1-3

A science-based course that will lead students on an exciting investigation of the properties of our most basic liquid through various experiments involving water.

 

Classical Languages

July 20-31                 $175

9:00-Noon                 Grades 4-8

By looking at the etymology (origin) of words, primarily from Greek and Latin, students will have the keys to understanding the basic elements of language and communication by unlocking the mystery of words themselves.

 

Basketball Camp

July 20-31                 $175

12:30-3:30                 Grades 1-8

Use this as a continuation of the Benedictine Basketball Camp (June 15-19, July 6-10) or a stand-alone camp to develop basic basketball skills under the instruction of Louis Massett, a former college basketball coach.
